Formen des Wohnens im Spielfilm seit den 1960er Jahren. Eine Kompilierung von Sequenzen aus unterschiedlichen Kulturkreisen und Klimazonen. Wohnen vom intim-privaten bis zum öffentlichen Aspekt. Aufbauend auf den Ergebnissen eines Forschungsprojektes wird Wohnen über die Tätigkeiten und Befindlichkeiten der Bewohner definiert. Sechs Kapitel führen vom offenen Land über die Vorstadt in die dichte Stadt. Eine tour de force durch das kollektive Bildgedächtnis.


Forms of dwelling in movies since the 1960-ies: A compilation of sequences from an intimate-private up to a public aspect. Based on the results of a research project, living is being defined through the inhabitant’s activities and conditions. The sequences’ internationality reflects the phenomenon of the worldwide assimilation of forms of living. Six chapters lead from the open countryside via the suburbs into the dense city. A “tour de force” through the collective image-memory.
